May 19 Home and gardens Hello out there , Ive been busy enjoying the sun
Jean Christoph-Novelli ("The Worlds Sexiest Chef " according to the New York Times ) made an apperence, showing off his culinary skills but I missed it , saw people queing to get a copy of his new book signed though.
Charlie Dimmock was advertised as one of the other celebrities making an apperence, but after sitting waiting for half an hour we were told that she had been on yesterday, wonder was she wearing her bra?.
I could hear Craig Phillips voice, he wes giving tips on tiling and laying laminate flooring, But that was when I was waiting for Charlie. Fashion and interior stylist Hannah Sanding was due to appear at 3pm but I decided not to waite , I left the arena and went for a drink and pub lunch instead that rounded off the day very nicely May 05 a night visitHello friends hope you have all enjoyed the bankholiday weekend if not you get to try again in a few weeks time.
I had a surprise visitor lastnight, I opend the back door and could hear somthing on the gravel path , I thought it might have been a cat , (The nieghbours cats love my garden) but I couldnt see anything, so I put the ouside light on to get a better look and was surprised to see a hedghog . Its only the second one thats ever visited , I think they are really cute but have been told they are full of fleas. I took a photo of it on my mobile and then left the poor thing alone to find its way home, it was gone this morning so I guess it made it.
Buy for now Linda x April 23 ST Georges Day We Have had a lovely sunny St Georges Day in Liverpool hope you have enjoyed your day as much as I have mine. April 21 Have we got the XfactorYesterday was Xfactor audition day which was held at the Manchester United Football Stadium.
We stood in the que for two and a half hours befor anyone appeared and then they set up the cameras and we were filmed shouting , waving , cheering , and finally I got a glimps of Dermot O'Leary
All the wouldbe stars were auditioned behind a screan on the edge of the pitch. No, not by Simon Cowell and co , but by the produces of the show and Simons music people. If successful you would be given a golden ticket and be invited back for a second audition on Mon/Tue. By the time our turn came it was about 2.30pm, the kids were shivering, my daughter wasn't sure she would remember her words and my son just wanted it to be over, but I was deffenetly the most nurvous and I wasn't singing.
The bad news is, we didn't get a golden ticket,
April 12 Blond momentWell today my daughter and I went shopping for clothes for her X factor auditio.,We did quite well and got some bargins as her favourite shop was having a closing down sale. We stopped for a pub lunch , which was when I had my blond moment. I managed to sprinkle suger instead of salt on the chips and I'd only drank half a lager. April 08 Long time no blog Hello out there, my aged computer is so slow I almost gave up. Had a Grand National weekend , no I didnt win, infact the horse I
chose didnt finish, but my sister backed the winner and we hit the town to celebrate .
Although living in Liverpool I have never been to the actual Grand National race . However every year we head to the many pubs of our
city to meet with the thousands of visitors that attend the race. There is a holiday atmosphere , everyone is happy even those like me who
didnt win. We met people from all over the country and we hope to meet up with some of them again next year. It takes me that long to recover from the hang over .
More good news this week, my two teenagers are to be auditioned for the X factor. Watch this space. March 12 I.ll Hough and ,'ll Puff Me and my big mouth. The gales arrived in Liverpool last night and as I lay in bed listening
to the roar of the wind I felt like one of the three pigs in the straw house.
I could hear what sounded like the roof lifting and I imagend the house blowing away around me, as I clung on to my quilt and bed. Luckly there was no damage , just swirls of rubbish and fallen bins. Hope its not as windy tonight , I realy need to catch up on my sleep.
Hope the big bad wolf stays away from your door.
Linda March 11 Ho Ho Here we goHello one and all, never done this before but have enjoyed reading other peoples sites/spaces/ blogs, (not sure of the difference at the mo), thought I would have a go at my own.
Welcome to my world . I hope you will enjoy what ever it is I come up with and please give me some guidence along the way.
To day the weather is pritty dull in Liverpool but at least we havent suffered the terreble conditions some of the rest of the country has. I am counting the days till I can take my morning coffee out in to the garden again. I love my piece of England , it isnt very big and I have n't exactlygot green fingers but I like to have a go.
Pruning is like a theripy to me .When you think I started triming 8ft connifers with a pair of sissors you will understand howfar iv come now i'm the proud owner of a pair of loppers.
My son has just arrived home, he seems to think I'm writting/blogging to much so I'm going to finish here today. Wish you all well, till next time
